Latvia will help Ukraine export grain through its ports
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. April 22-24 Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Nikolay Solsky paid a working visit to the Republic of Latvia. During the visit, he met with Latvian Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards, and also visited the Freeports of Riga, Ventspils and the special economic zone of the city of Liepaja.
The minister got acquainted with the port and logistics infrastructure of Latvia and discussed the possibility of exporting products of Ukrainian farmers through Latvian ports. During the visit, Solsky met with representatives of Latvian port administrations, grain terminal operators, and Latvian grain trading companies.
Earlier, Latvian President Egils Levits noted that Latvia could help Ukraine export grain through Latvian ports.
