HB4 wheat granting full approval for its commercialization and cultivation in Brazil

Argentina's Bioceres Crop Solutions Corporation announced that the National Biosafety Commission of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has completed a safety assessment of the company's genetically modified, drought-tolerant, HB4 wheat variety, granting full approval for its commercialization and cultivation in Brazil.

Brazil is the second country after Argentina where regulators have approved HB4 wheat for cultivation and is completing the approval process for the company's target wheat markets in Latin America. Brazil plants between 2 and 3 million hectares of wheat annually, and together the two countries account for 90% of the wheat planting area in South America.
